Athirapally Waterfalls

Thrissur, Kerala

PAID Entry 4.9/5 Nature

About This Location

Athirapally Falls, on the Chalakudy River, is Kerala's largest waterfall — a 24m wide curtain of white water crashing 80 feet into a forested pool. The lush Vazhachal evergreen forest surrounds it completely, creating a tunnel of greenery that frames the falls. Often compared to Niagara and used as a Bollywood location (Bahubali, Dil Se), the falls are most powerful from June to January. The tree-canopy walk beside the falls offers unique elevated perspectives.
